Hello!

Lorenzo is overweight and has been on a diet for a few months - and successfully losing a few pounds! He's been pretty happy. This month though, he has been frantically trying to get more food out of us after his meals. He doesn't want to play, wrestle, snuggle or get butt scratches (all his usual favorite activities), he just is searching for food. Is this something to do with hibernation hormones? Should we feed him a little more during this period or anything? It's hard to resist his sweet, hungry face.

No, stay the course on his portion size. This is the time of year his instincts tell him he needs to fatten up for winter. Assuming you have heat, he doesn't need additional fat to get through the winter.
