i have several wild babies that i am rehabbing. all are about 8 weeks or so and in a soft release pen. trouble is that one of the babies almost completely lost all its hair! they have been wormed twice and i plan on worming them again today. this poor baby is pink. his stool is fine, all vitals are good. eating god. all is normal besides the hair loss. any suggestions besides the worming?

It could be mites but it seems extreme that almost all the fur is gone and that it hasn't affected the others. Hopefully Rhonda will have an answer.

Sounds like it could be stress related.  Some skunks are more sensitive to change than others. Even something as simple as changing from type of enclosure to another can cause it.  I would recommend giving a B-Complex vitamin daily, and also Maria sells a product called PetSpan.  Another one I highly recommend.  Get some of that from her and give one daily.  Both will help with the stress and regrowth of the hair.
Hope this helps.  You can always contact me at 352-210-6123.  It's baby season for me and I'm slammed right now, so I don't always get a chance to get on the computer.  So best to call me during this time.

not sure if this would be appropriate for a baby in rehab, but maybe child's omega-3?

We have a lot of members who only post when there is an issue. We don't get too many that just want to chat, unfortunately.
